Image
So you found out you are with child. What now? I dont know what to do too once the stick turn blue. I just wait around 10 weeks, then I called up Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Selangor (JKNS) at 03 5123 7333 for the next instruction I guess and what to do next. Obviously once we found out we are pregnant the advise from parents and friends start pouring in. Some says go to your first check up at 10 weeks, some said 12 weeks. How would you know for sure? And if you are going to go through government clinic, which one you should go? I have all these question in my head. So I called JKNS up. They were so helpful. The lady look up my home address up and said that I should go to Klinik Kesihatan Ibu dan Anak Seri Kembangan. I argued that my home is closer to Putrajaya than the suggested KK. And patiently she explain to me that my address are covered by Seri Kembangan Clinic. And I should go in when I'm at 10 weeks along in my pregnancies. No need to bring your own pregnancy test whatsover. B

Hospital Bag Checklist. What to pack?

Image
What to pack indeed. Chances are when you are coming in for your 28 weeks check up, the nurses will ask you to pack up your hospital bag and place them in the car. Don't take her advise lightly. Small steps are key here ladies. For me, this is what happen, Day 1 - Pull out the bag Day 2 - Forgot about it Day 3 - Forgot about it Day 4 - Why is this bag hanging around? Day 5 - Forgot about it Day 6 - Move the bag to the storage box, cause I am completely forgot why it was out in the first place. Day 7 - Realize I need to pack the bag Day 8 - Pull out the bag again. Day 9 - I'm tired Day 10 - Looking at baby cloth and drift away Day 11 - My husband reminds me to pack the bag Yeah, small steps. Or maybe tiny mini small steps. So, what I end up packing in the bag? I used Fjallraven Kanken 16L as my hospital bag. Later on this bag will become the diaper bag and my purse combine. I will not carry another bag as my purse. Its fine, right now I am using the same bag, the

Purposely I went there just to standing in line to claim my Mums Club Baby Box and there are a few item that I think I can buy. I had prepared a list based on their Starbuy and Wishlist. You can literally access everything regarding the Expo on their website. They had prepared Booth Layout Map, all the brands that are participating and other stuff. The Mums Club Baby Box How? I visited the expo with my sister. The strategy is, while I wait in the line for my Baby Box, my sister would roam the ground for the item that I curated earlier. Newborn Essential List - Rev00

The idea is, as a first time mom I am overwhelmed with all the baby product. Lets face it. Money is problem. We could not possibly buy everything all at once. I get it the term essential itself varies from person to person. What I discovered from my own essential list is that it change. A lot. This week it may become like the top 10 I must have in order to prepare myself but the time next week, meh I can make do without it. So here is the idea. Today 17 August 2019, I will capture my essential list here and I will be back once my baby is at 3 month old (insyAllah) to update what is the essential that I really use and what is not. I hope it was helpful enough for other new mom out there and for my reference in the future too (insyAllah!) You should be able to find the categories as follows 1. Baby gear 2. Bath time 3. Minimalist Wardrobe

Even before I was married, I was living quite a minimalist lifestyle. Since I'm always moving I refused to have a lot of possession with me. By the end of the day, I own 1. 10 pcs of quick dry shirt that are modest enough as I am a muslim. 2. 2 pair of jeans 3. 10 pcs of headscarf (ironless) 4. Enough set of underwear 5. 2 pair of formal attire 6. 1 set of pyjamas 7. 1 set of telekung, towel 8. 1 sleeping bag 9. Vanity and toiletries set Other than that, I make do with borrowing some stuff from my sister or friends. I made it a habit to not own everything if I only will use it one time. The 10 pcs shirt was so comfy that I can wear it everywhere. and its black so I can attend my classes in them without my lecturer staring why is that girl wearing jersey to my class. I make it my pride and joy to only own one luggage of item with me. With that I am able to save and live at my office for a year without anybody noticing! The nature of my work that is 24 hours operation

Nikah di Masjid Cina Negeri Melaka

Image
In the chaos of 3rd February 2019 morning, I became a wife to a humble, kindest man. I watched him anxiously shaking my fathers hand in the akad ceremony. It was simple enough. And then, I'm a wife. We proceed our day to our rented Chalet in Pengkalan Balak, Melaka where we have a little barbeque for close friends and family. We rented the place for 3 days and 2 nights for all the guest. It was fun. I have my friends from my school day, my degree besties, my masters sisters, my in law and my family of course.  Kids running around eating and playing in the sand. It was unconventional. But I love every moment of it. We had our nikah ceremony at Masjid Cina Negeri Melaka, Krubong. The tok kadi was great. It was super long procedure but it goes by so fast. For the Tok Kadi services we payed RM150 and for the space we payed RM100. After the akad ceremony, the Masjid people left us for the some family bonding time. It was nice. The decoration are prepared by the Masjid Cina N

Why am I here?

Image
So yeah. I’m looking for a way to start a new project. I got my final result for my master's studies on 9 August 2019. Suddenly everything went blank. I stare at my sleeping husband right next to me. Snoring lightly as he is working hard during the days. Trying to provide me and our unborn child a better life in the future. But something is missing. Back then, I was always running around doing something. I completed my bachelor degree a year early from all my friends, graduating at 23, a month later I got myself a decent job, move to Damansara and start to earn my living. By the time the convocation ceremony, I furnish myself with a brand new car while my friends still struggling to look for a job. The job is great. I was occupied from 8 am till late at night. I figured I’m young. I should be working all the time and I am. I was determined to collect, carrell, and get all the information regarding this new world from my boss. He is great. He’s an AR who used to work in a big fir
